Container alarms for key events

September 19, 2018 by Jennifer Colvin |

Container tracking

If you need to be alerted right away when a container reaches a key milestone, set an alarm to get notified. Alarms give you more control over the type of notifications you receive about the containers on your dashboard, and allow you to specify the events you want to be notified about.

Container alarms

Set alarms on containers to get notified about the following key milestones:

  • When your container has discharged from the vessel at the final port of discharge
  • When your container is available for pickup from the terminal at the final port of discharge
  • When your container has departed from the terminal at the final port of discharge

You can set alarms on individual containers, containers in a saved search, or containers with specific tags.

How to set alarms

To set alarms on individual containers, select the containers, click the alarm bell at the bottom of the column, and choose which events you'd like to be notified about.

If you want to set alarms for all your containers by default, you can do that too. Just update your notification settings in your account to specify that you want alarms set on all of the containers in your dashboard.

To see all of your containers that have alarms set, check the alarms tab on the right side of the dashboard.

Email notifications

The best way to ensure that you have the most current information about your shipments is to check your dashboard. However, you can still receive notifications by email.

With alarms set on your containers, you'll be sure to know as soon as your container status is updated.
