When your containers are being reviewed

Container tracking

When you upload your containers into the Crux Systems dashboard, our system automatically finds information about the shipments and our algorithms clean up the data issues more than 90% of the time.

Sometimes, however, there are discrepancies in the data. A shipping line could report an ETA at a terminal that it's not scheduled to arrive at. Or there isn't a single terminal reporting they are expecting the container. If you've been trying to track containers manually, then you've probably seen these types of discrepancies yourself.

When this happens, our operations team steps in to weed out the bad data and conflicting information to ensure that what you see on your dashboard is the most accurate and up-to-date. That's when you'll see your container listed as "in review" on your dashboard - it means that we're sorting out the information behind the scenes for you.

Some of the other reasons your container may be listed as in review:

  • Your container is very early in its journey and additional information may not be available yet.
  • Your container has missing or conflicting information.
  • Your container is out of our coverage network.

If it's really early in your container's shipping cycle, not all of the information is readily available. Any information you provide along with the data we collect from multiple sources can help our operations team pre-assign containers for automatic tracking.

Once your container status has been updated, the platform will  track it while it continues on its journey, and any status updates will be automatically updated on your dashboard.

While a majority of your containers can be quickly and easily tracked with our service, you can rest assured knowing that in the rare case a container goes into in review status, a dedicated operations team is working on your containers to find and provide the most updated information on your cargo.
